HPS Home Power Solutions (HPS), the world’s leading provider of green hydrogen-based year-round electricity storage for buildings, has reached another milestone with the sale of its 300th year-round electricity storage system picea. HPS is also experiencing a strong increase in demand for picea systems in 2022. With the expansion of sales structures and partnerships, sales are to be further increased.

Anyone who installs picea, in combination with a photovoltaic system, can supply themselves with CO2-free electricity from their own roof all year round. The 300th picea sold is an important stepping stone towards significantly higher sales figures,”

By converting surplus electricity from a photovoltaic system into green hydrogen, energy can be stored for the long term. When needed, this energy is used in the form of electricity and heat, so that a high overall degree of utilisation is achieved. picea is optimally designed for single and two-family homes. Several picea can also be connected to form a multi-picea so that the storage capacity can be scaled. This also gives small and medium-sized enterprises the opportunity to supply themselves with up to 100 percent CO2-free electricity.

HPS has so far concentrated on the German market in sales and cooperates with a network of certified partners with whom a regular exchange takes place. With the digital HPS Academy, which was launched in summer 2022, the structures for the further expansion of the partner network have been established. This is an important element in the growing organisational structures. In addition, HPS will continuously develop the technology behind picea. HPS already holds a large number of patents in various countries to secure its technological lead.
