HPS Home Power Solutions AG to present picea – the all-in-one energy storage system – at upcoming trade fairs

HPS Home Power Solutions AG (HPS), the Berlin-based energy solutions provider for single-family homes, which fulfils the need of energy independence, today announced its participation at the ISH in Frankfurt and at the Hannover Messe.

“At the ISH in Frankfurt, we will be presenting our first picea product generation for the first time and will be exhibiting a picea energy center system on site. Based on the results of the field tests, we have derived optimizations for our first product generation and are now pleased to be able to present these to a focused audience. In particular, our early supporters can experience the continuous development from field test to commercial product. We expect to complete over 100 picea orders in a first step and have already started delivery”,

The ISH is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for water and energy and focuses on future-oriented topics such as the careful use of resources and renewable energies. 200,000 trade visitors and 2,400 exhibitors exchange impressions on the latest trends in the industry. With 64% of exhibitors and 40% of visitors from abroad, ISH is internationally positioned. The fair opens its doors for visitors on 11-14 March from 9am to 6pm CET and on 15 March from 9am to 5pm CET.

The Hannover Messe is one of the world’s most important industrial fairs for key technologies and products from the fields of research and development, industrial automation, IT, supply, production technologies and services as well as energy and mobility technologies. About 6,500 exhibitors will present their innovative ideas to an audience of around 220,000 trade visitors from 01-05 April 2019 (daily from 9am to 6pm CET).

HPS develops and produces integrated systems for storing and using solar energy in single- and multi-family homes. HPS stands for reliability, independence and sustainability in decentralized energy supply. The first system from HPS, picea, combines energy storage, heating support and indoor ventilation in one compact product. Thanks to its high-performance energy management system, picea is able to meet the complete electrical energy needs of a single-family home. In addition, all waste heat produced is used to provide the house with heat and hot water, thus lowering the cost of heating. Compared to commercially available batteries, picea has a hundred times more storage capacity with twice the output. picea is energy efficient and provides power all year round, enabling complete energy self-sufficiency and independence from the grid. The energy produced by the photovoltaic installation on sunny days can either be used straightaway, or converted into hydrogen and stored. This energy is then made available at night, or during winter when there is limited sunshine.
